UCI students sitting in the hallway waiting for class, circa 1973. UCI Special Collections and Archives Volunteer Colleen Williams (and former UCI student) commented with a chuckle, “this could look like any UCI hallway today, students always sit in the hallway before class!” It is nice to know that some things never change!

June 4, 2009 marked the 20th anniversary of the deadly Tiananmen Square protests. UCI students had gathered on campus in response to the tragic events at Tiananmen Square.
